Waimea, Hawaii, May 25, 2011 –

The savory scent of the Colonel’s Original Recipe™ will waft through Waimea this Memorial Day when KFC begins its new home delivery service on Monday, May 30.

Waimea residents living within a roughly 10-minute drive from the KFC at Parker Ranch Center can have their meals delivered to their doors with any $15 minimum order. The delivery area encompasses the Hawaiian Fresh Egg Farm to Lakelands. Customers can order any item from the menu everyday during peak dinner hours from 4 – 8 p.m.

“We’re proud to be selected as the first in Hawaii to have the option of home delivered meals,” explained Mitch Green, KFC Hawaii Restaurant Manager at Waimea’s Parker Ranch Center. “Our goal was make it faster and easier for residents to order a meal from KFC on those days they don’t feel like cooking. Plus they don’t have to worry about wasting gas or finding parking.”

All orders are specially packaged in insulated bags to ensure the same freshness as dining at the restaurant. Customers should allow approximately 30 minutes for deliveries. There is a service charge of $2.50 with each order which is equivalent to pizza companies.

If successful, KFC Hawaii may extend its delivery hours in Waimea and eventually expand to other islands.

Customers can place their orders by calling KFC Hawaii at 885-1780.
