community

KFC Hawaii offers more than just great meals for friends and ‘ohana. Our team actively gives back to the communities we serve. We’re proud to help various organizations with local chapters in Hawaii that include the following:

Hawaii Foodbank – Going on four years strong, we are deeply committed to helping feed the more than 180,000 people in Hawaii that go hungry each year. Our annual partnership includes in-store change collection, coupon offerings and twice a year we become “Change Angels.”

Muscular Dystrophy – Our “Lei of Hope” campaign provides customers the opportunity to donate $1 or $5 for paper Leis to sign and post on KFC’s windows. Each dollar raised stays in Hawaii to help the many residents with muscular dystrophy

Hawaii Bowl Foundation – Everyone loves supporting University of Hawaii football and so do we. In fact, we provide meals for the UH football team during each home game at Aloha Stadium. This past December, we raised over $8,500 for the Foundation that helps more than 20 youth-oriented charities in Hawaii

American Red Cross – During March, National Red Cross Month, we raised a total of $8,534 for people in Hawaii affected by an emergency.

Great Aloha Run – For nearly a decade, we’ve sponsored the Great Aloha Run donating meals and operating the Aid Station passing out water to 25,000+ walkers that brave the 8-mile run

Hawaii Down Syndrome Congress (Annual Buddy Walk) – KFC has been supporting the Buddy Walk for 9 years by providing meals and toys. More than 400 people on Oahu walk 1-mile trek to foster self-advocacy and confidence in persons with Down syndrome.

Aloha Harvest – Twice or even three times a week, KFC donates unsold chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob and biscuits. Aloha Harvest provides the food to various homeless shelters around the islands

World Hunger Relief – KFC doesn’t just fight hunger in Hawaii, we do it worldwide. Each October, we dedicate an entire month to raising funds throughout the state. Yum! Brands’ (owner of KFC and other popular restaurants) World Hunger Relief campaign is the world’s largest private sector hunger relief effort.

All funds raised goes to support The United Nations’ World Food Programme – the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.
